The "Students in Action" program is a strategic action of HPPA, which aims to create a permanent channel of cooperation between the industry and the academic community. Its goal is to bring students into direct contact with the real needs and applications of industry, enhancing the practical dimensions of their studies and broadening their professional prospects.

The program functions as an "umbrella" of actions, with an initial implementation at the EKPA University of Athens (Department of Psachna) and the prospect of gradual expansion:

1. in more Universities in Greece,

2. to all members of the Association who wish to participate,

3. in a nationwide network of cooperation between education and industry.

 

Objectives of the Program

​

1. Interconnection of education and industry through organized cooperation actions.

2. Enhancing students' professional skills and familiarizing them with industry requirements.

3. Promotion of young scientists and creation of a "pool" of executives for the industry.

4. Promotion of innovation through diploma papers and applied research on issues of interest to member companies.

5. Strengthening the extroversion of the Association and its presence in the academic community.

 

Who is it for?

The program has two distinct categories of participants:

​

A. Senior Students (3rd–4th year of study)

​

It is aimed at students who are close to completing their studies and are interested in coming into direct contact with the industry through specialized actions, internships and applied research.

​

B. First-year students

​

It concerns young students who are taking their first steps in their studies and need guidance, information and early understanding of the professional potential of the industry.

The number of participants is determined each academic year by HPPA, according to the capabilities of the member companies and the structure of the program.
