HPPA (Hellenic Paper Packaging Association) was founded in October 2022 by the majority
of corrugated packaging companies in Greece. More specifically, DS Smith Hellas, Dunapack
Packaging Hellas, Sakispack, Elpack, Nova Packaging Hellas, Unipak Hellas and Cartontec,
joined forces to enhance the value of the sector and highlight the benefits of paper
packaging in Greece. The formation of the association is made up of the most important
companies in the sector with a total turnover of 1 million euros and employing 3,000 people
in Greece.
Paper corrugated packaging is the most recyclable form of packaging in the European Union with a recyclability rate of over 90% in an existing operating system, with 89% recycled
content on average. The main priority of the association is to develop synergies and
partnerships with stakeholders who play an important role in promoting the circular
economy and sustainability of the industry, as well as to bring together members and other
stakeholders to develop the competitiveness of the industry, establishing the industry with
the general public.
The vision of the association is to promote the sustainable development offered by the
industry, allied to the strong values that underpin its culture of diversity and inclusion of its
members, sustainability at the heart of its operations, and health & safety. For more
